Bihar state government has launched the official portal mmry.brlps.in where women living in urban areas can apply online for Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana. Under this scheme, every family in Bihar will get support for one woman member to start small work or business.
The government will transfer the first installment of ₹10,000 directly to the bank account of each approved applicant in September 2025. Later, based on the progress of work, women may also receive up to ₹2 lakh as a loan.
This scheme is being run by the Rural Development Department of Bihar with support from the Urban Development and Housing Department. Apart from money, the government will also arrange training to guide women on how to choose a right business, manage it properly, and plan their income.

To Apply online for Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, follow the below steps one by one.
Step 1: Visit the official website of the scheme at mmry.brlps.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the “आवेदन करें” option on top of the page or “क्लिक करें” in front of Apply Online for Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana (Urban).
Step 3: A page will open asking if you are already a member of a Self-Help Group (SHG). Select “No/नहीं” your answer. If you are not a member, you will see the application form.
Step 4: Fill in your Aadhaar number, full name (as per Aadhaar), father’s or husband’s name, and mobile number. Then click on “Send OTP” and enter the OTP received on your mobile.
Step 5: Complete the rest of the form with bank details and other asked information. Upload documents like Aadhaar card copy, self declaration form, photo, and signature.
Step 6: Submit the form and note down your application number for future use.
After submission, your details will be checked. If you are not already in a SHG, officials will help you join one before approving your application. Only after this step, the payment will be processed.
Who Can Apply?
The benefit of this scheme is for one woman from each family in Bihar. Both rural and urban women are included. For rural women, the process of application is available only through Jeevika self-help groups (SHG), while urban women can apply directly online at mmry.brlps.in.
