STEP 1: Go to the NFSA official website.
STEP 2: Under the “Ration Cards” section on the homepage, click on “Ration Card Details on State Portals” link.

STEP 3: On, the next page,, you will see the list of all the states as shown below.

STEP 4: Click on the name of your state and then click “OK“.
STEP 5: Now, you will reach the official website of your state’s Food / PDS department.
STEP 6: Find and click on the “Ration Card List” or “Beneficiary List” or “Ration Card Drilldown Report” or any similar option on the homepage of the website.
STEP 7: Now select your district, block, fair price shop / village and click on “Submit / View” button or just follow the links.
STEP 8: After completing all the steps, you will see the complete list of ration card holders in your selected region. For example, in below image, we can see the FPS-Wise ration card list of a village in Madhya Pradesh.

STEP 9: Now, to find your name in the list, you can use the search box in your browser or press “ctrl+f” button, then type your name and hit “Enter“. Your name will appear highlighted, where you can verify it using other details.

According to the latest data on the NFSA portal, there are a total of 20,21,57,499 ration cards issued across 36 states and 773 districts in India. These cards benefit more than 80 crore people under the public distribution system. Out of the total ration cards, over 2.01 crore cards are linked with Aadhaar, and nearly 77.4 crore beneficiaries have their Aadhaar details linked. More than 11.47 crore ration cards have mobile numbers linked, while 4.62 crore cards are connected with bank accounts. The data also highlights that there are over 16.97 crore female heads of families registered under NFSA, and around 15.5 lakh ration cards have been inactive for the last three months.
