Odisha government has announced that a new affordable housing scheme in Bhubaneswar will be launched soon. Under this project, houses will be offered at a starting price of just ₹14 lakh, making it one of the most affordable housing schemes for families in the state capital.
The announcement of new affordable housing scheme in Bhubaneswar was made by the Housing and Urban Development (H&UD) Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra during a Local Self-Governance Day celebration event. This new scheme is aimed at reducing the burden of Bhubaneswar’s high property prices, where many homes cost over ₹1 crore.
Flats for EWS and MIG Families
In its first phase, the scheme will focus on providing affordable homes to families belonging to Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories. Later, it will be expanded to include Middle-Income Group (MIG) families as well. Housing prices under this new project will range between ₹14 lakh and ₹50 lakh, giving affordable options to different income groups.
