Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana or CM Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan is a flagship scheme of Uttar Pradesh government under which the state government is providing interest free loans of up to 5 Lakh to the youth for setting up a business in UP. Under this scheme, the UP government is providing loans of up to Rs. 10 lakh in the second phase. Along with the financial support, CM Yuva Udyami Yojana also provides skill development training, and incubation facilities to help young individuals start their own business.

What is Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana?

Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana, launched by Yogi Adityanath government, is a business loan and entrepreneurship development scheme to empower the state’s youth. This scheme provides financial assistance ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹10 lakhs in form of collateral free loans from banks to eligible individuals aged 18 to 40 years who wish to start their own business. The scheme also includes comprehensive entrepreneurship training through various government-approved training centers and business incubators, helping individuals learn business planning, financial management, and marketing strategies. The primary aim of this scheme is to encourage self-employment and create a string startup ecosystem in the state.

Yuva Udyami Yojana UP is being implemented by the MSME and Export Promotion Department of UP government. This scheme offers special preference to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Minorities, Women, and Backward Class applicants. As per the official data, more than 30 training and incubation centers have been set up across major districts such as Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, and Meerut. These centers guide youth through every stage of business development, from ideation to execution. The government’s vision behind this initiative is to transform job seekers into job creators, ultimately reducing unemployment and promoting balanced economic growth across rural and urban areas of Uttar Pradesh.

Benefits of Yuva Udyami Yojana

Phase 1 Benefits

  • Up to ₹5 lakh: 100% interest subsidy for up to 4 years and collateral-free loan.
  • From ₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh: Any amount exceeding ₹5 lakh must be self-financed by the beneficiary.
  • Moratorium Period: No repayment is required for the first 6 months.
  • CGTMSE Coverage: The state government will provide credit guarantee coverage under CGTMSE for a period of 4 years.

Phase 2 Benefits

  • You can apply for Phase 2 only after successfully repaying the Phase 1 loan.
  • The maximum project cost allowed is ₹10 lakh. For projects above ₹10 lakh (up to ₹20 lakh), the additional funding must be arranged by the applicant.
  • Interest Subsidy: 50% interest subsidy for 3 years on the lower of ₹7.5 lakh or twice the Phase 1 loan amount.
  • CGTMSE Coverage: The state government will provide guarantee coverage for 3 years.

Additional Benefits

Under the Digital Transaction Incentive, ₹1 will be provided per digital transaction, up to a maximum of ₹2,000 per year.

UP Yuva Udyami Yojana Online Registration 2025

Below is the detailed step by step process to register online for CM Yuva Udyami Yojana in Uttar Pradesh.

Step 1: Firstly visit the official website of MSME department of the UP government at https://msme.up.gov.in/login/registration_login and click on the “नवीन उपयोगकर्ता पंजीकरण” or “New User Registration” button to start the online registration process.

Step 2: After that a new user registration form will open as below.

Select Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan in the Yojana selection box.

Step 3: Now enter your name, date of birth, mobile number, email, and then select your state and district, tehsil. Enter the captcha code and click on “Submit” button.

Step 4: After clicking the submit button, you will be provided a user ID and have to change your password and then login to the portal on the same page by entering the provided user ID and password.

Step 5: Now after logging into the portal, click on the Application form link and fill all the required details in all the fields in the form.

Step 6: After filling in all the required details, upload required documents including identity proof (Aadhaar/PAN), residence proof, educational certificates, passport-size photo, training certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), and a basic project report or business plan. The complete list of required documents can be checked by clicking the “Instructions for Online Registration” or similar link.

Remember to upload the documents in JPEG or PDF format within 300KB limit and photo with maximum 20 KB.

Step 7: After uploading all the documents, and filling all the details, check and verify all details and documents again, and if any change is required or if you have filled any detail wrongly, edit the form and correct it.

Step 8: After verifying all the details, go to the “Application Form” menu and click on final submit button.

Step 9: After successful submission, print the copy of application and note down your registration or application number. Your application will be reviewed by the concerned department, and further communication regarding training and loan approval will follow.

Step 10: You can check the status of your application by visiting the same page and entering your application number and clicking the “Check Application Status” link.

UP Yuva Udyami Yojana Last Date

As you can see in the details of the scheme on the official website, the government aims to provide self employment to 10 lakh youth in next 10 years, and the scheme was launched in March 2024, so this way, the scheme is gong to continue for 10 years and the last date for CM Yuva Udyami Yojana will be March 2034, as long as the Yogi government or any other in future decides to discontinue the scheme.

Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit for Yuva Udyami Yojana UP

Educational Qualification: Minimum qualification should be 8th pass or equivalent.

Skill Training: The applicant should have received skill training under any of the following:

  • Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana
  • ODOP Training Scheme
  • SC/ST/OBC Training Scheme
  • Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission

Alternatively, the applicant may hold a certificate, diploma, or degree in any skill-related course from a recognized educational institution.

Benefit Limitation: The applicant must not be availing benefits under any other Central or State Government scheme that includes interest or capital subsidy, except for the PM SVANidhi Yojana.

Age Limit

The applicant must be between 21 to 40 years of age to apply for Yuva Udyami Yojana.
