What is FASTag Yearly Pass?

FASTag Yearly Pass is a new digital toll pass introduced by the Government of India for private (non-commercial) vehicles like cars, jeeps, and vans.

By paying a fixed one-time amount of Rs. 3,000, you get unlimited access up to 200 trips or 1 year (whichever comes first) on all National Highways in India without worrying about individual toll charges at every plaza.

This yearly pass is available from August 15, 2025 and can be applied for online via the Rajmarg Yatra App, NHAI, and MoRTH official websites.

FASTag Yearly Pass Online Application Process

Below is the complete step by step process to apply online for FASTag yearly pass.

Step 1: Download and install the Rajmarg Yatra App from Google Play Store or Apple App Store
or Visit the NHAI website or MoRTH website.

Step 2: Login or Register using your mobile number and email ID.

Step 3: Enter your vehicle registration number and verify your FASTag details.

Step 4: Look for the option: “Apply for FASTag Yearly Pass” or “Activate Annual Pass“.

Step 5: Pay Rs. 3,000 via UPI, credit/debit card, or net banking.

Step 6: Receive confirmation and digital receipt.

Your FASTag Yearly Pass will be activated and linked to your vehicle for 1 year or 200 trips (whichever is earlier).

Step 7 (Optional for Renewal): Before expiry or on reaching 200 trips, follow the same process to renew/recharge your yearly pass.

How to Recharge or Renew the Yearly Pass

  • You can recharge or renew the pass via the same Rajmarg Yatra App, NHAI Portal, or MoRTH website.
  • Payment is again Rs. 3,000 for the next annual cycle or next 200 trips.
  • Renewal link will be available under your FASTag account before expiry.

What is the 60 Km Rule?

Old Rule:

Earlier, if two toll plazas were within 60 km, you could be charged twice on the same trip. Many users complained about paying multiple tolls for short distances.

New Rule with Yearly Pass:

With the FASTag Yearly Pass, after paying the Rs. 3,000 fee, you are not charged at any toll booth for 200 trips or one year, even if toll plazas are within 60 km. This removes confusion, overcharging, and frequent disputes.
