Eligibility Criteria for Assam Scooty Scheme 2025
- Students must score 80% or more marks in the Higher Secondary Final Exam conducted by the Assam State School Education Board.
- Students who appeared for betterment or reappearance exams cannot apply.
- Students must be permanent residents of Assam.
- Students studying outside Assam can also apply if they have a valid PRC (Permanent Resident Certificate) of Assam.
- Applications are neither to be submitted online not offline, the beneficiary students will be selected automatically based on their marks in exam.

Students need not to apply for the scheme, the list of students with 80% and above marks will be collected from Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) and all students in the list will be eligible to get the free scooter under this scheme.

How to Apply for Assam HS Scooty Scheme 2025
You need not to apply, but to make a choice of scooty on the official portal using below process.
STEP 1: Visit the official portal of Pragyan Bharti Scooty Scheme at https://ahsec.assam.gov.in/. You will see the homepage of the HS Scooty Scheme.
STEP 2: Click on the “Choice of Scooty” option shown on the homepage to open the application form.
STEP 3: Log in by entering your registration number, roll number, registration year, and contact details carefully.
STEP 4: Fill all the needed information correctly and submit the form.

Merit list of Assam Scooty Scheme 2025 has been announced by the state government of Assam at the official website and can be downloaded using below links.

Distribution Process of Scooty
Below is the detailed distribution process of Assam Scooty Scheme.
- The list of students scoring 80% or more will be taken from Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB).
- The list of selected students will be published on https://directorateofhighereducation.assam.gov.in/.
- Eligible students must fill an online application form. The link will be given on the DHE website.
- The Director of Higher Education will inform Nodal Principals for smooth distribution of scooters.
- Nodal Principals will collect the Appreciation Certificates from DHE.
- Students will collect their Appreciation Certificate from the Nodal Principal and submit it to the dealer.
- The government will give money for scooter registration and insurance to Nodal Principals. Once details are verified, the money will be paid to the scooter dealer.
- Students will collect their scooters from the dealers. They don’t have to pay for registration or insurance.
- A helmet will be given free along with the scooter. The government will not pay for any extra accessories.
- If a student dies unexpectedly, the legal guardian may or may not take the scooter.
- Students who got the Dr. Bani Kanta Kakati Merit Award under Pragyan Bharati Scheme cannot apply for the Nijut Moina Scheme. But if a girl student refuses the Bani Kanta Kakati Award, she can apply for Nijut Moina Scheme.
